Earth Day- Lets join hands together for a better tomorrow

Do you know tons of single use plastic entered into landfills and oceans every day? It is essential to understand the impact of plastic pollution on humans, the ecosystem, low-income communities & on our forests.

We are continuously failing day by day to our forests, wild life etc. Unprecedented Forest Fire in Uttarakhand is the latest example of it. Our planet is a beautiful place to live in. Do not make it hell.

It is not possible to change everything instantly and also no single person can make changes. It’s our planet, it is the responsibility of all to take care of our mother nature. We should understand the value of togetherness and focus on the importance of our sustainable system. Adopt super-efficient buildings, electric vehicles, public transportation, bicycling, organic food, etc.

Just take one conscious step in the right direction. Try to avoid single-use plastic and adopt alternatives to that. Just small changes in our daily behaviour make our planet a beautiful place to live in for our future generations too.

22nd April is a day to be celebrated as Earth Day all over the world. Let’s join hands together today for a better tomorrow.

Initially it is hard to start but everything will go in the right direction once you get started. Start with small steps like swapping your plastic toothbrush to a wooden one, a plastic comb to a wooden comb and gradually sustainability becomes a part of your life. You may find the wooden products a bit expensive but they last for a more extended period than the plastic ones.

We all know that every part of a Coconut Tree is used in one way or the other. For example, let us speak about the coconut shells. We generally throw them after using the coconut. In our homes, we use coconut products at least once a week. So think how much of them are wasted in a month. So let’s think about how they can be reused. Why not to turn them to a useful alternative?

You can use Discarded Coconut Shell Bowls in multiple ways:

  • You can have your breakfast, lunch and dinner in coconut bowls. It will not only make you feel earthy but also enhances the taste of breakfast.
  • Paint the bowls, and decorate them in any part of your room or home.
  • Use it as a stand for pins, coins, or even use it to put the vegetables’ peels.
  • Fill the bowls with the soil, plant the seeds like Mint, Coriander etc. The bowl requires a small place in any corner of your kitchen.
  • Coconut Bowls are the best gifting options for Nature lovers.

In that case, instead of throwing them, we can reuse them or give them to someone who reuses them.

How Coconut Bowls are made in Vriksha Veda:

We have joined hands with the artisans of Karnataka & Kerala to create Coconut Bowls from the discarded coconut shells and provide you best quality bowls at reasonable prices.

Step 1 – Initially, the bowls are cleaned and been scraped both inside and outside.

Step 2 – Then the machines are used to make a smooth outer texture so that they don’t prick when we hold them, they also come into a beautiful round shape.

Step 3 – The inner part of the bowl is cleaned and 4 layers of coconut oil is applied for its smooth flowing.
